Though I haven’t brought myself to say “ya’ll” yet, I happen to live in one of the most popular places for girls trips: Nashville (no, please do not call it Nash-Vegas, but Nash is indeed acceptable). I often get asked for recommendations of what to do and where to stay so if you’re planning on spending a weekend in my city, I want you to get a feel for both the non-corny, touristy side as well as some local flair.
Nashville is such a good spot for girl groups of all ages (not just bachelorette parties!) because the city really is the epitome of Southern hospitality and charm. Just as much as Nashville is the home to amazing live music, it's also the home of yummy food, a fun bar scene and truly kind people. Here's a list of some of my faves! Plus, I included some non-eating & drinking related activities too :)
Where to stay:1 Hotel - Rooftop: Really nice ambiance and fun cocktails (and great food) upstairs with views for days!
- Spa: Heard really good things about the spa there if you wanna dabble, though I unfortunately haven’t gotten a service myself (yet)
- Note: If visiting in the summertime, there is not a pool
Where to eat:- Dinner at The Supper Club (upstairs) at Justin Timberlake’s 1230 Club. They have live music most nights so it is a fun spot with good, steakhouse food and cocktails. The downstairs casual spot - called the Honky Tonk - also takes reservations for more casual food but I don’t think the food is as worth it as the Supper Club. It is located off Broadway, so you could easily jump into the mix after you dine.
- Cocktails & steakhouse: For a true Nashville experience, go to The Patterson House for upscale cocktails (they change their menu constantly or you can tell the mixologist what you like and they will whip you something up!) & Hall’s Chophouse for dinner.
- Germantown: just north of the 1 Hotel, this is kinda like the Old Town neighborhood of Chicago. It is walkable neighborhood with lots of coffee shops and restaurants. Almost all of them are good, but my faves are:
